Last night dayv and I went to go see 7 Mary 3, Sponge, and Days of the New at Durty Nellies. We realized yesterday that the show was 21 and over and did not start until 2030. The age restriction always makes for a better show because there are no children and they are allowed to go later. So we got there and were first in line to find out that Days of the New had dropped out because of illness. They were replaced by local band Munroe. Doors opened at 2000 show was supposed to start at 2030, it however didn't until 2100. Munroe was fairly good. They played a decent opening set and put a good show on.We also got free cds from them. I like free. Even though the show started late, I was feeling good about it until the time in between Munroe and Sponge. The bands decided to wait to finish the show until after the Bears' game ended. I was not happy. So we waited 45 minutes extra for the next band. When Sponge finally came out, they put a good show on. They played a good mix of old and new songs. I only know the old of course. And alas comes 7 Mary 3. They rocked the house. All in all a great night granted We didn't get home until 0200. Also Durty Nellies is amazing to see a show at.
